Lately.

I haven't felt much need to bother with this blog too much. I guess it's mostly because I don't have anything interesting to say. I think I'm running out of things to say.

Texas.

What I planned to blog about, is not something I am comfortable with having on the internet. Instead, I am going to give you a run down on how things have been. On the first, my sister,my step-sister,my grandmother and myself, left for Fort Worth, Texas. We didn't arrive until 2 am that morning. On the following day, we tackled Ikea. It was super amazing. I think I am going to end up getting all of my dorm/first apartment stuff from there. I will make a post later on what I want. On Friday, we went to this really hip part of Dallas. I checked out American Apparel and Urban Outfitters. I ended up getting upset because I didn't have enough money to buy what I wanted. I also got upset because I am a size 2. It's super hard to find a size 2 that fits. EVERYTHING I try on is too big. But, at Urban Outfitters and American Apparel, I fit. The whole not having enough money thing did get to me. Later that night, we went to a Rangers game. It was tons of fun. On Saturday, I wanted to stay at my uncle's and just chill. Yet, my sister and my step-sister had a different idea. We ended up taking my uncle's dog,Boomstick, to the doggie park. Later on we went bowling. We left Sunday bright and early. I was sad to leave. I was starting to fall in love with Dallas/Fort Worth.
Now that I am home, I feel tired. I also feel pretty darn strange. I feel like I don't belong here. I really don't know how to describe it. Well, I think I've written enough for one post. Toodles.

Currently Life.

Lately, I've been searching for a job. I need one so I can help pay for car insurance, gas, and all the other things I need. I could probably come up with a 2,000 item list of everything I want/need. I also need to start saving. This time next year, I'll be off to college. I'm pretty excited but, not having any funds to fall back on is a scary thought.

In other news, I am going off to Texas this Wednesday. I'm going with my grandmother,my sister and my stepsister. We're going to see my uncle.I am kinda nervous because I am going to drive a bit of the way there. I have no idea what we are going to do except go to a Dallas Rangers game. I really want to travel to Brownwood. When I was in second grade, I lived there for a year. I've been to Texas since then but, I am curious to see what has become of Brownwood.
Tomorrow is going to Murphy day. I hope I do not get lost again. I am starting to like the whole driving thing. I love my Taurus. Yes, it's a grandma sort of car. But, it has great air conditioning, cd player and cruise control. When I got in my car one day last week, I kissed the wheel like a nut. I think the main thing that I love is the freedom that comes along with it. Granted, my dad doesn't let me go very far/ drive that much.
My internet connection is starting to get on my nerves so, I'm going to watch something on HGTV and read.

I've always find that I love the beauty of old Hollywood stars. I love Lucille Ball. She is hilarious and I believe she is one of the most beautiful women. I think the women of this era could learn a thing or two from her.

Clothes.

I have very little clothes. This limits me into what I can and cannot do. Like today, it is about 97 degrees outside. My stepmom wants me to go shopping with her and my little sister for my dad's father's day present. I have nothing to wear. I think she's kinda annoyed but it is the truth. I only have one pair of pants that fit, 2 skirts and one pair of too short shorts. I can't wear pants in June. So, today I am going to search the web for clothes I would like to own.

Well, I think that is it for now. I guess I am going to find something to do. I think I learned two things- I need to start shopping at Forever 21. I also learned I need to stop spending as much money on art supplies and electronics.

Today.

This is me driving. (My sister took this)

My dad wants me to trek to my new school today. It's about 30-40 minutes away from my house. I'm kinda nervous because I have never traveled that far alone. My new school is in the midtown/downtown area of Mobile. It's pretty busy compared to the part of Mobile I live in.
I'm also VERY nervous because I got in an accident last Monday. I didn't put my car into park to get out of the car at the car wash. I got crushed between the car and the post. To be honest, I do not remember that much. I didn't break anything nor did I have internal bleeding. I am fine. Yet, it was a costly mistake. I am hoping I'll remember to park. Well, I think I am going to get ready and eat some cereal. I don't know what i would do without pre-made food.
EDIT: The drive was pretty long but, it was fun. I also didn't die or get in a wreck. WOO HOO.

Hello!

My name is Brittney. This is my first structured blog. I've tried to blog at Tumblr but, it isn't quite the same. You cannot write very descriptively and it's easy to get caught up reblogging. I am going to call my Tumblr account my scrapbook now. I cannot tell you how good or bad this blog is going to be.
Let me introduce myself. I am sixteen (17 on 7 Aug). I live in the lower part of Alabama. I dislike it a good bit. I LOVE traveling. Ever since I was younger, I would dream of places I would travel. In one of my many notebooks, I have this HUGE list of every place I would like to visit in the whole world. I might post it one of these days. Besides traveling, I LOVE music. I generally listen to Jenny Lewis, the Avett Brothers, Gaslight Anthem, David Bowie and the Beatles. Recently, I saw David Ryan Adams in concert. I think I am pretty normal although, I have some strange quirks. Another one of my loves is art. I think I could spend forever creating art, looking for inspiration and talking about art. This is not going to become a art blog though. The main medias of art I use are film and paint. I don't think my art is that wonderful. I am trying to learn. Eventually, I hope I can learn how to sew. Another big part of my life is my notebooks. I have over 25 notebooks filled with poems,thoughts of the day and so forth. I keep a notebook mostly so I can rememeber what has gone on in my life. I might post some things from my earlier notebooks (I have been keeping regular notebooks since 6th grade). I also read a lot. My favorite book is The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. One day, I hope to become a vascular surgeon. Well, I don't know what else to say about myself. I hope you will check out my blog.
